A century-old school with centennial glory for century-long
education.
Jinhua No.1 High School has witnessed one-century ups and
downs. Meanwhile it deduces a splendid history of loving the
country, seeking the truth and educating people scientifically.
The first branch of Socialist Youth League in Jinhua was set
up in Jinhua No.1 High school, and so was the first Jinhua branch
of Communist Party of China. “The Committee of Fighting against
the Japanese and Saving the Nation” after “the Sep18Event” and
“Reading Association” during the Liberation War reflected the
school’s strong love of the country by constantly striving to
become stronger.
Such shining names as Huang Binghong, Shao Piaoping, Chen
Wangdao, Wu Han, Ai Qing, added an illustrious chapter to the
history of Jinhua No.1 High School, The growth of seventeen
academicians and hundreds of Ph.Ds, the education of over 30,000
students, and the many outstanding talents from the school all
lead Jinhua No.1 High School to heading the list of excellence.
Talents like Jin Zhaozi, Hu Buchan, Fang Gao, Wang Zongyuan,
played an important part in Jinhua No.1 High school. They built
an enterprise with great efforts and strove after diligently,
which is worthy of praise and respect. Up to now, the teaching
gist of “Accuracy, Correctness, Comprehension And Competence”
has been fully carried out. This strategic idea of sustainable
education policy declares publicly the enterprising spirit of
the school’s pacing with times and never feeling satisfied.
We feel proud that Jinhua No.1 High School is not only a key
school but also a place which breeds new learning atmosphere
and new thoughts. It accelerates new cultured and new spirit
and it is the cradle of talents. Each turn of Jinhua No.1 High
School is closely bound up with the fate of the nation. Each
growth is closely linked with the social progress.
In this monumental book of a century-old school, the most
splendid is the spirit of love of the country contributed by
both teachers and students, which is “Everybody has a share
of responsibility for the fate of his motherland”; the spirit
of education “One should fight all one’s life for the cause
of education” and the spirit of diligence “Be diligent, hard
working and bold to be first with efforts”.
As the new generation of the school, We feel both proud and
responsible for imparting knowledge and educating people. How
to keep up with the times and how to carry forward the spirit
of the school has been a most important and thoughtful task
for us. Today we celebrate the centennial of the school and
thus compile this picture albums in order to record history
and highlight the spirits of the school. Therefore, we name
the album “Century-Old school with centennial Glory”.
